Climbing to
new heights
Speed climbing debuts
For the first time, speed climbing joined the Mountain Games with a massive 49-foot-tall wall. Olympic athletes showcased world-class talent, flying up the structure in mere seconds and bringing a thrilling new dimension to the event. Golden Peak was packed for the finals, reaffirming that the newest discipline was a huge hit.
A doggone good time
Some of the country’s top canines showcased their agility, tricks, and flying disc skills at the brand-new Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge Experience. The performances and open practices complemented the fan-favorite DockDogs competitions, bringing a new level of fun to Pro Plan Dog Town. Plus, 25 dogs found their forever homes through Eagle County Animal Services’ dog adoption events.
A digital game-changer
The GoPro Mountain Games launched its first-ever mobile app in 2025, featuring GPS mapping, custom daily schedules with reminders, real-time push notifications, and more. The app had 5,424 downloads in its first year, making for a smoother event experience for athletes and spectators alike.
