Transformational upgrades

Construction began in fall 2025 on phase 1 of a comprehensive $19 million renovation that will enhance the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater for decades to come. Phase 1 includes replacing the pavilion seats, installing hand railings, and remodeling the front-of-house production area. The project is part of our Empowering Possibility Capital Campaign and will take place over the off seasons to preserve summer programming, with all work expected to be complete by May 2028.

Earning national recognition

USA Today readers showed how much they love the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater by voting it the #4 Best Amphitheater in the country in the annual 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The Bulleit Hot Summer Nights free concert series also earned the #5 spot for Best Outdoor Concert Series, marking its second year in a row on the list. These recognitions put our venue, along with the Vail Dance Festival and our partners at Bravo! Vail Music Festival, in the media spotlight.
